Community Engagement

Community engagement
Tuesday, 22. December 2020 (All day)
Through projects such as the Sense of Place and Carbon Skills, we will be working closely with volunteers, local communities & residents, friends of groups, local naturalist and wildlife groups to enjoy and deliver the Carbon Landscape projects together. Through the Sense of Place project, we attend meetings to enable groups and individuals to become up-skilled in project development, funding, events management and interpretation activity. The Carbon Skills project has volunteer training and a rewards package at its core. This will enable local people to feel a sense of pride for improving once derelict landscapes, gain training course awards and improve their employability. Through this project there is potential to progress onto a nine-month paid trainee post if the applicant is successful in the interview process. All of these opportunities provide a sense of wellbeing, increased fitness and improved career opportunities.   Where: Throughout the Carbon Landscape When: Opportunities to be announced through the Carbon Landscape website What: Empowering a variety of community groups through support and close working relationships
