A major project to further enhance accessibility within the Mini-Moss bog education area. This will include a raised and fenced boardwalk to replace the existing path that will become impassable by essential bog restoration. Work will also include the development of a formalised walkway within part of the mossland and a the installation of a raised viewing platform to overlook newly restored rare lowland raised bog habitat. Another aspect of the project is to complete the rewetting of Risley Moss by blocking the last remaining drainage outlets from the site. Volunteering opportunities will be provided through the Risley Moss Action Group (RIMAG) in conjunction with the Warrington Borough Council Ranger Service.
