Citizen science
Tuesday, 22. December 2020 (All day)
The project area supports European and UK protected and priority species which are dependent upon the habitats that the Carbon Landscape project will enhance and restore. Monitoring species abundance and distribution is vital to measuring the success of restoration works and changes to the landscape over time. Recruiting and training citizen science surveyors will increase survey coverage of target species across the Carbon Landscape area. Each survey has been designed with input from specialist recorders to provide structured and repeatable survey methods allowing valuable data to be collected during the project and into the future. Where: Throughout the whole Carbon Landscape When: Seasonal depending on species between 2017-2020 What: Survey and Species identification training and surveying
