Summer Foraging Walk in Astley

Saturday, 8. June 2019 - 14:00 to 16:00
Join us at Whitehead Hall Meadow for a fun and engaging 2 hour FREE summer foraging walk, led by foraging expert David Winnard. Come and visit this wonderful site and learn about future plans from the Whitehead Hall Meadow Trust. We will be discovering and learning about plants and potentially fungi around the meadow. We will learn how to forage in a sustainable manner and learn what is safe to eat and what is not. It all depends on what we discover during our walk! Where possible there may be the chance to try some plants once cleaned. The foraging walk is open to anyone over 18 to attend and is for all foraging abilities. Please make sure that suitable footwear and clothing is worn and feel free to bring a small notebook to take notes of ID tips for instance. Feel free to bring your camera on the day, who knows what we will find! Biscuits and brews will be provided. To book onto the event purchase a FREE ticket on Eventbrite (see below). Please note closer to the day of the event, you will receive an email stating all the essential information you need to know for the day of the Summer Foraging Walk.
