Start at the Slag Lane Car Park for Pennington Flash. Head towards Plank Lane and continue, passing the Marina on the right. Continue along Plank Lane until you see Common Lane on the right.
Just after Common lane, you will take the path on the left into Bickershaw Country Park. Continue along this path, past Nevin’s Flash before taking the path on the right. Continue straight ahead across the meadow towards Fir Tree Flash.
Turn left where the path crosses, then left again and follow the path around the flash.
At the junction where you will see the Monolith, take the right hand path and continue down the straight path with the flash on your right. At the end of this path, go through the gate and across Enda Road car park.
Go through the second gate, and follow the left hand path up and over the meadow. Exit Bickershaw Park via the same path where you entered.
Cross over the road and head down Common Lane. At the end of the lane take the footpath on the right, crossing over the number 9 bridge and then turning right. Follow the canal path back to Pennington Wharf car park.
