Take the third road on the right, and head down Booth’s Hall Road towards The Moorings Pub. From here, cross over the bridge and turn left (Eastwards). Follow the canal all the way until it bends to the right under the bridge and into Worsley Village. Shortly after turning, cross over the canal on the bridge, and take the path into Worsley Green, taking the path branching right. At the end of the path, turn right onto Worsley Road for a short time, then take the path leading off on the left. Passing Bridgewater School playing field on the right, follow the path along as it loops round, through the woods and past Old Warke Dam and following alongside Worsley Brook.

The path leads out into Mill Brow, and at the end of this road turn right, then immediately left. Cross over the road and take the path over the bridge crossing Worsley Canal Basin, and re-join the canal. Follow the canal back on the opposite bank, past RHS Bridgewater, around Boothstown Marina, past The Moorings Pub and along the Bridgewater Way. Keep going along the canal, before turning off up Whitehead Lane. Follow the lane as it curves round to the left, then turn left onto Higher Green Lane. Follow the lane past the Lancashire Mining Museum, which has a cafe for visitors (please note, opening times for the museum vary so check before you go if it is open). The Old Boathouse Pub a little further on also provide the opportunity for welcome refreshments.

Passing the pub, head over the canal onto the opposite bank and turn left. Follow the canal back towards the mooring pub, and some well earned food!
