Greater Manchester Ecology Unit (GMEU) collated the evidence base to support a potential designation of the Leigh and Wigan flashes complex as a new ‘urban’ National Nature Reserve. This report is the first stage in the potential designation process and analyses data submitted from a wide variety of sources over the period 2014 to 2019.
